On 2/23 the Armonk FD hosted for the Battalion, classroom training on ice rescue and hypothermia. The follow up to the classroom was a practical exercise. The exercise was held on Windmill lake in Armonk. Crews cut the 14" ice on Friday at 5:00 PM, due to the cold temperatures by 8:30 AM Saturday morning the openings had frozen over with 1-1/2" of new ice.
