I.F.CO. Responds to a 10-75 in Armonk
By Engineer Ray Zaccari
July 4, 2012
On July 4th at approximately 22:52, the Mount Kisco Fire Department, along with many other departments were dispatched to 12 Hallock Place in Armonk for a reported house fire. I.F.CO. was requested to send an Engine and a FAST Team. Engine 106 and Utility 13 assembled rapidly and were soon enroute. Upon the arival of Armonk car 2021, the Chief reported a confirmed fire in the attic and possible fire in the basement. At this point, I.F.CO. arived and was quickly put to work. I.F.CO. investigated the house for the location of fire. The crew found no fire in the basment, but there was known fire in the attic which was now through the roof. The crew from I.F.CO. was quickly pulled out of the building due to a lack of water. Water was established sometime later with the help of a tanker shuttle. North White Plains Ladder 47 was then used along with the deck gun off Armonk Engine 286 to extinguish the large body of fire. A portable pump was then brought in from Banksville Fire Department to draft water out of the swiming pool in the back of the house. Soon after the fire was knocked down, crews were sent in to pull walls and extinguish hot spots. I.F.CO. was put back into service after 06:00 on July 5th
