| On the morning of March 3rd, six members of the Donaldson Fire Company of Donaldson, Pa made the four hour trek to Mt. Kisco to inspect Engine 106 for possible purchase. The six members inspected, drove and pumped E-106. It became clear very quickly, that they really wanted to bring this engine back to Pennsylvania with them. After a short round of negotiations, a deal was struck and a deposit was issued. After the deal was complete members from the Independent fire Co. and the Donaldson Fire Co. went out to lunch to celebrate the upcoming sale.
After the members of the Donaldson Fire headed back to Pa., the members of I.F.Co. began stripping the engine of the equipment and hose we were keeping for the New Engine 106.
Approximately 5 days later the deal was finalized, and arraignments were made to have E-106 picked up.
