IFCO Responds to Car Rollover
By Firefighter James Tipa, Jr
October 9, 2010
At 4:30 AM on Saturday October 9th the MKFD was dispatched for a rollover on Woodland Street with an entrapment. The call came in from the Mt. Kisco Police and first arriving officers asked FD to expedite for a victim trapped in the vehicle. On arrival of first FD units the car was quickly stabilized with Rescue Jacks which are carried by the Rescue Co. Members from IFCO stretched a precautionary hose line and firefighters helped stabilize the vehicle and helped members from WEMS and MKVAC remove the patient from the vehicle. Quick work was made by all and the victim was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital by MKVAC. Firefighters also applied speedy dry to the accident scene to absorb the fluids from the vehicle. Firefighters cleaned up the scene, packed up equipment and went back in service.
