The End Of An Era, Goodbye E-106
By Asst. Engineer Raymond Zaccari
March 10, 2007
On March 10, 2007, the Independents geared up to say goodbye to an engine that has been around longer than some members can remember. It is an extremely dependable piece of apparatus and all miss it dearly. Members from other companies also came out to bid E-106 a well deserved farewell.
Some even said that they will not know that there is a call because they will no longer hear E-106 leaving the station from their homes. I feel the same way.
Whether a little or a lot, everyone will miss the mighty Engine 106, Truck# 10. Goodbye to a legend!
