Junior Corp

The Independent Fire Company has developed a Junior Corp for the purposes of stimulating interest in firefighting and to train qualified youths for participation within the Independent Fire Company.

To join the Independent Fire Company Junior Corp, you must be 16 years old, live within the district boundaries of the Mount Kisco Fire Department, and have written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Although junior members cannot enter a burning building, junior members will be trained by members of the Independent Fire Company to provided numerous firefighting related tasks both at the firehouse and at the fire scene.

Youths are encouraged to stop by the firehouse and ask questions related to firefighting, our Junior Corp, and the commitment involved in joining the program.
