| On June 14th Flag Day the Independent Fire Company participated with the American Legion Moses Taylor Post 136 in a Flag Day ceremony. In this very sacred ceremony Veterans from the American Legion burn old and worn down flags and the fire department stands fast assisting the veterens in containg the spread of fire from the burn pit. The Mount Kisco Fire Department has been assisting the Legion for the past 10-12 years in fire protection at the Flag Day ceremony.
