On Tuesday May 3, 2022, The Independent Fire Company celebrated George N. Rubin, Jr. for 50 years of service in the company. George joined IFCO in May 1972 and held the ranks of Captain and President. George is a second generation firefighter following in his father's footsteps and he also has a son Daniel who is also a member.

George was presented with his 50 year credentials by President Eric Hartmann as well as certificates from Angela Outhouse of the Westchester County Volunteer Fireman's Association and Robert Outhouse from the Hudson Valley Fireman's Association.

Many members of George's family were in attendance.
