Celebrating 70 Years of service to the Independent Fire Co. Paul J. Hughes joined the fire company in January of 1952. Paul has served as Captain (1968-1970), President (1976-1978) and he has been on the board of governors from 1974 to present. When you think of a true volunteer you think of Paul, an exemplary man and firefighter. Always willing to help, "ALWAYS THERE" Paul has been a mentor to so many of his brother members. An honor well deserved and well earned. Congratulations Paul and thank you for your many years of service!
