On Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Hughes Family Reunion in Yankee Stadium, Paul & Pete Hughes, Bill Stewart and their cousin Jack Hughes were honored by the New York Yankees for serving their country in the Military. The honorees and family members were treated to a tour of Monument Park, the Yankee museum and had their names appear on the welcome sign, were brought down to the field behind home plate for the 7th inning stretch which was broadcast on TV (some IFCO members were texting us to let us know they saw them). After the 7th Inning stretch when they returned to the suite to watch the game, they were each presented with a base from the actual game. John Hughes, Jack’s son spearheaded the reunion and made all the necessary arrangements. Locally David Hughes arranged transportation for the entire group (approximately 75 members) to and from the game. Paul Hughes, Pete Hughes & Bill Stewart put together a Friday night dinner for all the cousins to meet and catch up.

It was a fantastic day to honor our family Veterans.
