MKFD fights House Fire in Sub Freezing Temperatures

A kitchen fire at 125 Spring Street brings the members of "The Swarm" & MKFD out into 13 degree weather. First unit on scene reported a working fire and transmitted a 10-75. Engine 105 was first due, the crew from the E-105 stretched the first attack line and entered the structure. Engine 104 supplied Engine 105, then their crew assisted with fire suppression. The fire was located in the exterior wall of the kitchen with extension to the second floor. Members of TL-14 vented the structure and opened up the exterior to find the fire. Crew from Bedford Hills TL-57 stood-by as the FAST team. Red Cross was contracted for the displaced family. Fire was placed under control by approx. 6am. No injuries were reported.
