On a chilly December 7th night, a crew from the Independent Fire Co. was requested to standby for the Putnam Lake Fire Department during their annual Christmas Parade. The parade is a very well attended by many residents and visitors to the area. The crew of Engine 106, led by Lieutenant Bruno was dispatched to an odor of gas in the town of Patterson. PLFD Chief Jamie Gagliardo responded to the alarm with the engine. After an investigation, the crew found the smell and visible smoke came from a vehicle that was started in the garage. The Engine and Chief were released, and they returned to Putnam Lake. A good time was had by all members in attendance. Thank you for the invite PLFD, we are glad that we could lend a hand.
