Live burn department drill.
On the morning of 4/26/14, Mount Kisco Fire Department conducted a live burn training exercise.
As well as being the best hands on training for members, It is a wonderful way to show the community what their local Emergency Services does to keep their community safe.
MKFD was joined by Chappaqua, Bedford Hills and Croton Falls Fire Departments as well as Mount Kisco Ambulance Corps.
The home was donated by Richard Petrosa for the training exercise.
The exercise involved stretching attack and backup lines,search and rescue,roof operations.
Multiple evolutions were run so all attending members we able to work in multiple roles.
A special thanks to Chief Bueti for all his efforts in securing us his house and making this happen.
Additional thanks go to John Marshall, Rich Alexander,Andy Morgans and Chief David Hughes for setting up a safe exercise and for all the valuable knowledge and hands on experience, that gets passed on.
