| On Tuesday, April 3rd, the installation of officers for the Independent Fire Company was held. Outgoing Captain Jan Johannessen presented newly elected Captain Chris Ross with his Captain's credentials. Capt. Ross presented Frank Duffy with the 1st Lieutenant credentials, Frank Duffy presented Jon Bruno with the 2nd Lieutenant credentials, Jon Bruno presented Raymond Zaccari with the Engineer 106 credentials and Raymond Zaccari presented Brett Schlosser with the Engineer 105 credentials.
Tim Kensing remained in as President when Mike Brady elected not to pursue the presidency and Rich Alexander took over as Vice President. Tom Jackson was elected to be the MKVFD Chief pending the outcome of Chief's convention. Howard Kensing remained as Treasurer, Jordan DeFrancesco, Secretary, Ed Hardy, Financial Secretary and Frank Mannion, Commissioner.
The officers presented new Ex-Captain Jan Johannessen with a gift. Ex-Captain Jan Johannessen presented gifts to the top 3 responders for Interior and Exterior firefighters.
