During the morning of Monday September 20th the Mount Kisco FD was dispatched for a car into a home with possible people trapped at 13 New Castle Drive. On arrival of FD units a sedan had gone through the rear of a residential property with people home. Luckily the driver only had minor injuries and nobody at home was injured ether. The MKFD used Rescue Jacks carried by the rescue company and used them to support the car until the car was able to be taken from the home. A precautionary hose line was stretched by the Independents and the MKFD stayed on location until the flatbed arrived. The driver had been in the parking lot of Mount Kisco Smokehouse when she was struck by another vehicle. She then went through a fence at the edge of the property and when she went to press the brake she accidentally hit the gas and went through another fence, through the property, and into the rear of the home. The Mount Kisco Building Department deemed the home unsafe to inhabit and the Red Cross was notified to relocate the homeowners. |
