| On Wednesday, August 11th the MKFD was dispatched along with the Katonah and Bedford Hills Fire Departments to 13 Fisher Lane in Katonah for a working house fire. The fire had initially started as a kitchen fire while the homeowner was home with her son. The homeowner evacuated her home and called the Bedford Police on her cell phone. The first units arriving at the scene hit the hydrant across the street and quickly entered the home and doused the flames. The fire was put out and under control in 15 minutes. With the arrival of the Bedford Hills Fire Department crews vented the structure and overhauled the home searching for hot spots. The MKFD responded with Utility 13 as the FAST Team and Tower Ladder 14. MKFD crews stood by awaiting firefighters in need of assistance. In about a half hour mutual aid companies were released and Katonah companies cleaned up the scene.
