| At 10:12 pm The Independent Fire Company was dispatch by 60 Control to respond with one engine to Banksville Fire Headquarter for stand-by. Banksville was out on a working structure fire. (See our Incident Gallery for a couple pictures from fire scene).
Engine 105 responded with the following members: Capt. Eric Hartmann, Ex-Capt David Hughes, Asst. Engineer Jon Bruno and Ray Zaccari, Firefighters Rich Fitzgerald, Peter Hagen, Luke Mannion and Bob Lombardo. Chief Boles (2283) and Jackson (2284) also responded.
Members on scene included John Marshall III (Batt 16) and Andy Morgans (C&O Zone 5).
We were still on stand-by when the first Banksville engine returned to the firehouse. We offered to help repack their approx. 2800 ft of 5" supply hose. We are in the process of getting 5" hose for the first time and we figured this would be good practice. As you can see in the pictures, we need a lot of practice. I don't think Banksville will ever ask us to help them pack hose again....
Shortly after packing the hose, we were released from stand-by.
