Ex Car 2283 Heads to Indian Lake NY

The Independent Fire Co. recently took delivery of a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe Chief's vehicle. This vehicle takes the place of a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe. Once the new car was put in service, the old car was considered surplus, and it was put up for sale. We decided to do something rather unconventional for the sale of this vehicle, and take to Facebook. Within a short period of this car being online, 1st Lieutenant Ray Zaccari was contacted by Berry Hall Jr, the Chief of the Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. in Upstate New York. The Board of Directors from both companies struck a deal and the rest is history.
On Saturday August 19th, representatives from both companies met at the Warren County Office Building in Queensbury, NY to turn over the Chief's Car. Chief Berry Hall Jr. along with his assistant Bob Willemsen from Indian Lake Fire Department arrived to take delivery of their new car. 1st Lieutenant Ray Zaccari showed all the different functions of the car to the chiefs from Indian Lake and made sure that they were well versed in the operation of the car before they bid farewell.
The Independent Fire Co. would like to congratulate the Indian Lake Fire Department on the purchase of their first ever department owned Chief's Vehicle. As of August 19th, Chief Hall already took in the first call with their new car, which turned out to be a 2 car motor vehicle accident with 7 patients total. We are glad to see the car is already serving the community of Indian Lake well.
