William A Stewart joined the Independent Fire Co. in May 1952. Bill has been an outstanding member. He has served in all capacities of company office. Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, President and Chief. Bill currently keeps close tabs on the SCBA (air bottles) to be sure there always filled. Bill also has managed the "Knox Box" system, for the fire department. Bill was truly dedicated to the MKFD Fife & Drum Corps, on the bass drum for many years. Bill Stewart has been, and is a true volunteer, the village and fire service are fortunate to have Bill. Bill has not slowed down and continues to contribute on a daily basis.
